      • Observation: There is a leaking pipe in the basement and accumulation of water on the floor. Water damage was visible on the base of the walls. Water staining was also visible on some sections of the floor. Leaking water may create damp conditions ideal for mold, bacterial growth and pest infestations.
      • Corrective Action: A food establishment operator must ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Repair or replace the leaking pipes in the basement.
    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: The grease trap in the basement area appeared to be overflowing. Grease residues can be seen on the floor. A foul smell is noticeable as you walk down to the basement area. A leaking or overflowing grease trap may present a significant public health concern, primarily due to the potential for sewage backups, the spread of disease-causing organisms and harbouring pests as well as gas accumulation.
      • Corrective Action: Grease trap must be serviced and ensure that it is maintained in good working order.
