      • July 27, 2026 update: no dropping found in the young toddler room. Dropping were found in the infant room: bottom of a cubbie and underneath one of the floor mats,Mice dropping found in Young toddler room in the reading area & in the Infant room along the back wall. Dropping were cleaned up during the inspection.They have a monthly pest control contract with Abell. Reviewed the last two reports and it indicated that there no current issue but noted old dropping required cleaning in toddler room.By July 20, 2026 ensure the clean up of all old dropping within the childcare rooms.

      • In young preschool room the tallest shelving unit that was handmade by the previous owner is not stable. When weight is place on it side it sways and could be a potential injury concern. Remove or secure the unit in manner that stabilizes it,

      • Multiple hand sinks did not have paper towels. Corrected during the inspection.

      • Infant room fridge was at 7C. Thermometer inside was broken.Ensure fridge is at 4C or less and place a new thermometer in fridge.

      • Cleaning is required in the following areas: older preschool (top of cubbies, multiple toy bins & edge of flooring where toy sink/dishwasher is located); younger preschool (multiple tables are marked with old tape marks); older toddler (diaper change table, little people dollhouse & cubbies) and younger toddler (toy kitchenette).Ensure all of the areas listed above are in clean and sanitary condition.

      • In the 3 to 4 year old room there was a damaged sleeping mat. Mat was removed. Violation corrected during the inspection.

      • In the young preschool personal items were not being seperated. By July 27, 2026 ensure that personal items are stored properly.

      • Diapering mattress in disrepair. Tear was observed.       • Overall sanitation observed to be needing improvement. Several areas observed to be needing to be cleaned and sanitized due to stains, debris and mice droppings.

      • 1 dead mouse observed near the play mattresses. Mouse droppings observed. Ensure adequate cleaning and disinfection is done. Pest control specialist follow up will need to be completed.

      • Weatherstripping in disrepair (door leading to the outside playground). Big gaps noted between door and floor. Ensure weatherstripping is fixed to prevent pest entry.

      • Opening and closing cleaning check list observed to be filled out. The visit was started around 9:30 AM. Ensure cleaning records are maintained as cleaning is completed and not prior to task being completed. Cleaning observed to be needed at the time of the visit.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Preschool Room - Toilet bowl cleaner and goo gone chemicals were observed on the bathroom ledge. Please store these items in a location that is not accessible to the children.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Infant room - there were toys and other items present in the cribs.Infant room - there was a string on one crib tied to each side at the top of the crib. A toy was hanging from the string as a mobile.Please remove all extraneous items form the cribs.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Diapering supplies and food, including formula were located on the same shelf / area. Please ensure these items are labelled in their own designated area.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Infant room - water staining was observed on the ceiling in the infant room. Please ensure that there are no leaks and replace the damage ceiling tiles.

      • OSC Room - The legs of the air hocky table were not secure from wobbling. Please repair or remove the item. This deficiency was outstanding from previous inspection.

      • Toddler Room - the change pad in the toddler room was visibly soiled. Please remove and replace the item.

      • Preschool Room - the carpet was lifting creating a tripping hazard. Please arrange the carpet in such a manner that it is not a tripping hazard. Alternatively, it may be removed or replaced.

      • Infant room - toys in the infant room were being washed in the hand sink used for diapering. Please ensure that toys washing is occuring in the kitchen sinks outside f meal prep and kitchen clean up. Other sinks may be utilized provided they are not used for diapering.Infant room - the cover for the infant swing was dirty. Please ensure the cover is being removed and washed at minimum weekly.Toddler Room - a fabric rocking horse was observed. This material cannot be adequately cleaned. Please remove from use.

      • Infant Room - The dark brown crib was broken at the bottom. Please remove the crib form use.Infant Room - the light brown crib has a drop down side and is not permitted for use. Please remove and replace.Infant Room - a bassinet was being used in the infant room. Please remove from use.

      • Infant room - A thermometer was not available for monitoring fridge temperatures in the infant room fridge. Please ensure a thermometer is available for the fridge.
