    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Surface for wood playhouse is rough and could cut users. Sand and cover with washable material.Ensure all surfaces are washable.Half bathroom doors do not require outside lock.Toy washing sink available in kitchen if required.
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Recommend pest control device in storage area.Recommend full screens for back door.

    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • While most of the spray bottles in each of the classrooms contained 200ppm quats which is sufficient to disinfect surfaces, the bottle in the small toddler room was far too high (above 500ppm) which can leave chemical residues on surfaces. please ensure that the solution is mixed correctly each time. Staff immediately remade the solution, and it measured at 200ppm.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1- There are several areas of the walls that are worn and damaged. 2- The doorway in the hallway between the toddler rooms is unfinished.3- Some of the countertops around the hand sinks are damaged or worn.Please repair these areas so that they are smooth, water resistant and easy to clean. It was indicated that this repair work will be done when the daycare is closed during the Christmas break.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Two mats used for rough play in the 4 & 5-year-old room have torn and worn vinyl and are no longer cleanable. These mats must either be removed or repaired.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • New wood play beds have been brought into the daycare but the wood is unfinished. This makes them difficult to clean. Please paint, lacquer or otherwise finish the beds so that they're smooth, cleanable, and water resistant.
    • 30. Are workers washing hands when appropriate and/or in a proper manner?
      • A staff member in the baby room was observed not washing her hands in between changing the diapers of different children. This can allow pathogens to be spread from one child to the next. Staff must wash their hands in after every diaper change. Corrected During Inspection.
