      • Basement windows which open into outdoor play area did not have shatterproof film/were not shatterproof. Install shatterproof film on these windows.*Ensure shatterproof film is applied on any windows or mirror within 1m of floor/ground.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • 1. Kitchen gate was open. This was closed during the inspection. Ensure gate is closed at all times. Install latch so children cannot easily push gate open. 2. Furnace room was unlocked. This was locked during the inspection. Ensure furnace room is kept locked at all times.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Bathroom/laundry room on main floor did not have baseboards on one side. Please install baseboards.*Cited again August 15, 2025
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Diapering pads were ripped and or worn. Replace so they are smooth, impervious to moisture and easy to clean.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Stools used for sinks and toilets throughout facility were worn and no longer impervious to moisture. Refinish so that stools are smooth, non-porous and easy to clean.2. Finish on table in room 2 was worn off. Please refinish so that is it smooth, non-porous and easy to clean.*Cited again August 15, 2025

      • 1. Window covering on NE basement window had come off. Please re-install.2. Cots were being stored in washroom in basement. Do not store cots in washroom to prevent contamination.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • There was a small amount of mould in corner of furnace room, behind door. Remove mouldy material.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • 1. Chlorine disinfectant in room 3 was labelled incorrectly. This was corrected during the inspection. Ensure all disinfectants are accurately labeled. 2. Paint was stored on the same shelf as dry ingredients in hallway closet. It was moved to lower shelf during the inspection. Ensure chemicals are stored separately.

      • Bathroom/laundry room on main floor did not have baseboards on one side. Please install baseboards.

      • Handrail on stairs up to front entrance is loose. Repair.

      • Window coverings were not installed on basement windows on south side of building. Install window coverings.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Sanitizer bottles were not labelled or had label for wrong product. Please ensure all sanitizer bottles are labelled so their contents are known.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • First aid kit in basement had expired alcohol swabs. Please ensure these are replaced with non-expired antiseptic wipes.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Two bottles of chlorine sanitizer in the basement measured 0ppm chlorine. These were remade during the inspection.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • Flooring in washroom/laundry room on main floor is in disrepair. This is scheduled to be repaired.
