      • 1. The top of the dresser in the right corner of the apollo room had an residual adhesive making it difficult to clean. Please remove the adhesive or apply a cover to ensure the surface is smooth and easy to clean. 2. The finish on the edge of shelving used to store children's personal items was peeling making it difficult to clean.Please repair the edge of the shelving to ensure the surface is smooth and easy to clean.3. Some of the bins in the Comet room were made of material that is not smooth, non-porous, and easy to clen. Please replace the bins to ensure all bins that come into contact with children are made of a material that is smooth, non-absorbent, and easy to clean

      • 1.Tacks were found on a corkboard above the play area in the comet room and above the storage shelves in the apollo room. Tacks cannot be used in play areas as it creates a risk of injury.Operator removed the tacks from the comet room as well as the tacks in the apollo room.2. Shaving cream and bingo dabbers, which are not suitable for children were found in the Comet and Apollo room. Ensure all arts and craft supplies are non-toxic or have the ACMI label of approval. Operator removed the equipment from the rooms3. A cable from a lamp was loose and accessible to children creating an entanglement hazard. Please ensure all cables for electrical equipment are away from play areas and inaccessible to children.Operator organized the cable to ensure it was tucked behind shelving.4. Cardboard was being used in some of the toys in the Apollo room which is not cleanable.Operator discarded the cardboard during the inspection

      • 1.Diapering procedures are not posted in the designated diapering area.Please post signage of the diapering procedures that are followed within the facility to ensure safe diapering practices.2. The diapering table had dirt buildup under the safety straps. Please clean and disinfect the diapering table so it remains in a clean and sanitary condition.

      • The concrete step at the rear exterior door was sinking and there was a large gap between the wall and the concrete step. This could be a trip/fall hazard for the children as they use this door to access the play areas. -discuss the issue with the property owner for a Longterm fix. A ramp will be used to minimize any trip hazards.
