What these findings mean

Health authorities word their findings differently, so we group them by what they mean for the people in care. Higher-risk findings are the ones that could directly make someone sick, and they matter more here because young children, older adults and people who are unwell are more vulnerable to infection.

  • Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk

This covers how food and supplies are stored and handled: kept covered, off the floor, and away from anything that could contaminate them. Where food is served, raw meat must be kept away from ready-to-eat food, a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.

Recorded once on August 18, 2026. For example: Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?

  • Equipment and utensilsLower risk

Equipment has to be made of cleanable materials, kept in good repair and stored properly. These findings are mostly about upkeep, like a cracked surface or worn part. They are generally lower risk but show how well the place is maintained.

Recorded once on August 18, 2026. For example: Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded 3 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on August 31, 2026. For example: Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?

    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Craft paint manufacture label indicates for use by ages 4+, which would not be congruent with the age of all the children in this program (3-6). Discussed with facility managers and they agreed to source new paints. Paints had also been transferred from the bulk bottles into smaller dispensing bottles without labels, which the manufacture information should be included on the smaller bottles as well to ensure appropriate tracing and ability to follow manufacture instructions. At the time of the August 20, 2026, follow up inspection, the bulk paint containers had been removed and facility managers indicated that new paint had been ordered, however the small containers remained filled with paint and still unlabeled. There must be manufacture labeling onsite to identify craft materials like paint as appropriate for use by children and non-toxic. Dispensed paints must be labeled to indicate only use with children 4+ as specified by the manufacture and/or discarded if separation of paints cannot be effectively maintained from the younger children. - August 31, 2026: The pre-existing bulk paint bottles with the manufacture labels indicating for children 4+ years old were again onsite and labeling of the decanted smaller bottles to reflect this manufacture instruction had not occurred. Please provide supporting statements/evidence from the product manufacture indicating approval/safety of use of this product with children younger than expressed on their labeling in order to continue use with children under 4.
