      • Food items on the prep cooler was measured at between 7-8 degrees Celsius. Operator acknowledged that it was left open for some time during the busy lunch hour.PHI informed the operator to close the lid and always ensure it is covered when not in active use. Temperature was satisfactory (below 4C) at the end of the inspection.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The walk-in cooler walls and flooring is rusted. Operator informed the PHI it will be repainted in NOV/DEC when they do maintenance.**Jan 30,2024 - Still outstanding - Operator asked for more time (8-weeks) to engage contractors on complete renovation of the walk-in cooler walls and floors.

      • Ceiling along the corridor above the cooler had water leaking and soaked.Ensure to repair the water leak and replace the ceiling tile above the cooler unit.

      • Heavy grease accumulation on the ventilation hood.Ensure to clean in between the filters of the ventilation hood. Excess grease can be a fire hazard and the grease drops may contaminate the food cooking underneath.**Still outstanding as of Oct 11, 2023.

      • Operator had a wiping cloths bucket/pail prepared on site that had a mixture of bleach and soap.**Do not mix the chlorine sanitizer with soap and ensure the bleach sanitizer is measured at 100 PPM.

      • Pest control records were not available during inspection. Please ensure pest control records are kept and made available for review during inspection.
