PestsHigher risk
Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.

The caramel flavour was great. However, the texture wasn't what I was expecting. The outside wasn't crispy at all—it was quite soft. The inside was also soft rather than slightly chewy. I personally prefer a crisp shell with a chewy, custardy centre, so it wasn't really my cup of tea. That said, it was still enjoyable. For flavour-wise, matcha was my favourite.

The best canelé in Vancouver! I’ve tried canelés from different places, but honestly, I can’t compare them to this one. The outside is perfectly crisp and caramelized, while the inside is soft and custardy. I absolutely love this canelé!

I first tried caneles in Bordeaux a couple of years ago and completely fell in love with them, so I was delighted to discover them at this wonderful bakery on Granville. We tried the classic canele, the salted caramel, and the orange marmalade canele. The orange marmalade one was definitely my favorite, the flavor was amazing!

The most moist Canele I’ve had. I got their matcha white chocolate flavor and it’s perfectly caramelized on the outside and moist on the inside. The flavor is on point and it has quite some filling. They offer so many other flavors that I’m interested to try again next time!

Tried the canelés from La Bise Bakery for the first time. The outside was quite firm and slightly sweet, while the inside was moist and custardy. Since it was my first canelé, I’m not completely sure if this is the typical texture, but overall it was enjoyable. My favourite was the chocolate flavour — it had a nice hazelnut chocolate taste that reminded me a bit of Ferrero Rocher. The pistachio one was decent, but felt more ordinary compared with the chocolate. Overall, a pleasant experience and I’d come back for the chocolate canelé.
