      • There was a pile of shoes in the hallway outside one of the classrooms. Cubbies were available.Ensure all personal items are stored separately from other children's personal items.

      • Two elevated play structures did not have sufficient fall protection surfacing. The surfacing did not extend far enough out from the equipment to help prevent an injury in the event of a fall.Elevated play structures require an obstacle-free space that has sufficient surfacing material around the equipment so that if a child falls from the equipment the risk of an injury is minimized.

      • Counter trim in the Sunflower room and in the Snapdragon room was missing, creating some sharp edges and the potential for water infiltration.Ensure the counter trim is repaired or replaced so it is impervious to moisture and easy to clean, and so there are no sharp edges that may pose a hazard to children.

      • There is a climbing apparatus in the indoor play area. A thin mat is underneath part of the structure but a fall protection surface or zone is not present. The structure measured 22 inches high at the top of the climber.Structures above 20 inches require a fall protection surface and appropriate fall protection zone.Structures 20 inches or less must be located on a surface that does not pose a hazard if a fall occurs. A fall protection zone of 1.8 m around the structure is strongly recommended, but a smaller zone will be considered if it shows adequate protection. This zone must be free of other objects or equipment while the play structure is in use.Children must be appropriately supervised to prevent falls/injuries.

Several water bottles in various rooms were not labeled with the child's name.Ensure all water bottles are labeled with the child's name.Note: children and staff were aware of which bottles belonged to which child even without names present.2. A bin of toys was blocking the handwashing sink in the kitchen.Ensure the handwashing sink in the kitchen is kept clear and easily accessible for handwashing at all times. Handwashing is important when working from soiled to clean toys.
