      • Some of the bingo stamps were labelled 'not for use by children'. Discarded at time of inspection. Ensure all art supplies are non-toxic and designed for children.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Lysol wipes being used to disinfect toys. Toys must EITHER go through dishwasher OR be washed/immersed first in soap/water, rinsed, and then immersed in sanitizing solution. Please refer to information provided on Cleaning/Sanitizing Toys.

      • Some of the shelves with mac-tac or rough/flaking and no longer easily cleanable. Ensure shelves are smooth and easily cleanable.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • During inspection it was noted that sleeping area did not provide the minimum space requirement of 2.5m2 of sleeping area (requirement may be 3m2 under ECE requirements) for the number of children in the back sleeping area (4 in cribs, 5 on mats). Please provide additional documentation on which areas are being used for napping and how many children are in each area.

      • Some of the shelves with mac-tac or rough/flaking and no longer easily cleanable. Ensure shelves are smooth and easily cleanable.

      • One toy shelf (on outer wall by lockers) was not securely affixed to wall to prevent tipping. Corrected.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Some of the shelves with mac-tac are flaking and no longer easily cleanable. One shelf by windows (nearest back parking) has worn wood on top. A few of the snack/eating tables have worn spots on the wood. Refinish any areas that are worn to ensure they are easily cleanable.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Small slide (less than 50cm) had small mat at the end of the slide; replaced with larger mat to give more cushioning at the end of the slide.
