      • Facility prepares fresh sanitizer daily. A chlorine sanitizer spray bottle was available during the inspection. It had been prepared earlier that day and initially measured above 500 ppm; the concentration was verified by diluting and testing.The operator had been using the bottle cap to measure bleach. The required amount of bleach was demonstrated to the operators, and a pipette was provided for safer and more accurate measurement.Chlorine sanitizer preparation guidance:½ teaspoon (3.0 mL) of bleach in 1 L of water provides an effective concentration of 100–200 ppm.Verify bottle volume before preparing solution:For a 500 mL bottle: ¼ teaspoon (1.5 mL) should be used.Sanitizer concentrations should be confirmed with test strips.
