    • 19(2)(b) A food establishment must provide all of the following in accordance with applicable legislation or as considered acceptable by the Administrator: (b) adequately designed and appropriately located hand-washing facilities;
      • In accordance with Section 2.14 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must provide at least one hand washing station in each food preparation area. - Dispensers are required for the paper towel at the hand-wash stations.
    • 24(1) Food establishments must provide equipment or containers to hold and handle liquid and solid wastes and recyclables.
      • Garbage is accumulating inside the facility between collection days. As the town provides weekly waste collection, it is important that adequate storage arrangements are in place to prevent waste buildup indoors. Provide a suitable outdoor waste storage area (e.g., a secure garbage enclosure or bin system) that is sufficient to contain all waste generated between pickups. This area must be kept clean, pest-resistant, and operated in a manner that prevents odours and contamination risks.
