   • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
     • The following issues were noted:1. Vinegar water was used for cleaning contact surfaces. 2. Benefect Botanical Multi-purpose cleaner was used for cleaning toys. Follow the approved toy cleaning procedure. Oxivir TB (Accelerated Hydrogen peroxide) or Chlorine solution are the approved sanitizers in a childcare facility especially in an outbreak situation. If you consider chlorine solution, it should be maintained at a minimum of 100ppm using test strips or follow manufacturer's instruction for Oxivir TB. As a reminder, toys can be washed in the following manner:•Clean and sanitize in a dishwasher if the machine has a sanitizing cycle, or;•For small toys wash in a sink with soap and water, rinse and then soak in a sink with a sanitizing solution for two minutes (or time recommended by manufacturer) and then let items air dry, or•For large and electronic toys clean the outside with a cloth with soap and water and then wipe with a cloth with a bleach solution or sanitizing solution and then let air-dry.
