    • 15. Is laundry being properly handled in a suitable manner?
      • There is no laundry room in the daycare blueprints. Washer and dryer accessed by the daycare is located in the school kitchen which poses a risk of cross-contamination. Move washer and dryer to a separate location not in conjunction of a kitchen and food handling area.

    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • Snacks are provided by the daycare twice a day that involve open food handling. The daycare is not set up with an inspected kitchen that is set up with a food handling permit. The double sink and counter is in close proximity to the diaper change table. A sink used for handwashing related to diaper changes is not compatible with food activities and will not pass a food safety inspection. Discussed setting up the school kitchen as the designated, inspected kitchen for preparing snacks and applying for a food handling permit.

      • Alcohol wipes were being used to wipe sleeping pads after nap time. These wipes do not contain a DIN (drug identification number) and therefore cannot be relied upon to perform as the label claims. Staff changed to using the virox disinfectant. Discussed precleaning surfaces followed by disinfection and allow the disinfectant to remain wet on the surface for the label-prescribed "contact time".
