- 302 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Wiping cloths left on the counters between use. (Public Health significance) - Cloths once used can harbor and grow bacteria if left as used at room temperature.
- Corrective Action: Store wiping cloths in a sanitizing solution of 200 ppm chlorine or 200 ppm QUATs. Mix according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Some of the cutting boards used in food preparation had deep grooves and not easily cleaned (Public Health Significance) Cutting boards in disrepair can cause lodging of food debris, difficult to clean and can encourage growth of pathogens.
- Corrective Action: Operator discarded the boards in disrepair and replaced with good cutting boards.

- 212 - Operator has not provided acceptable written food handling procedures [s. 23]
- Observation: Temperature monitoring logs all had the same temperature for the past month. Thermometers held in the prep cooler had grime and debris on it which indicates it hasn't been looked at for some time. The temperatures were copy and pasted and refrigeration units were not actually checked.
- Corrective Action: Check refrigeration units twice daily to ensure they are maintaining temperatures throughout the day.
- 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
- Observation: Cold water faucets for the staff washroom and hand-sink next to the compartment sinks are not working. Cold and hot water are required in order to conduct proper hand-washing.
- Corrective Action: Repair the cold water faucets and inform Northern Health once they are completed.
