      • Push pins were used to hold fishnets anchored to the ceiling in the infant room and the preschool room. Push pins were removed**Push pins can become a choking hazard if they fall to the floor and are ingested by little children. Use alternative and safer items such as hooks, tapes or glues to adhere things/crafts to the walls or ceilings in the childcare facility

      • Diapering pad in infant area had a rip in the cover, exposing foam. It was replaced during the inspection. Ensure diapering pads remain smooth, non-porous and easy to clean.

      • An outlet in the out of school care room was missing a plug cover. This was corrected during the inspection.

      • Chlorine solution for diapering pad measured less than 100ppm. This was corrected during the inspection. Ensure a 100ppm chlorine solution is available for diapering.

      • The tops of doors used to separate rooms and the wood used to install doors was unfinished. Paint or finish so that these surfaces are impervious to moisture and can be easily cleaned.

      • Surface of children's table was damaged and there was exposed particle board. Operator removed this table during the inspection. Ensure all surfaces are smooth, impervious to moisture and easy to clean.

      • 1. Cots for napping were not spaced apart. Ensure there are 60 cm between cots.2. Children's blankets were not placed into cubbies right away and were piled together. Ensure blankets are placed in cubbies/stored separate to prevent cross contamination.

      • High chair and floor mats were stored in washroom. These were removed during the inspection. Ensure items are not stored in washroom to prevent contamination.

      • The operator was still in the process of applying shatterproof film to windows. Ensure all windows within 1 meter of ground have shatterproof film applied.

      • Door leading to crawl space did not yet have child proof latch installed. Install latch so that this door can be locked.

      • Painting was yet to be completed in area around hand sink in toddler room.

      • Laundry was not yet installed. Install laundry area and ensure there is sufficient area for separation of dirty and clean linens.
