      • The Nursery Room and Rooms 1-3: Adequate window shading is not currently available to support a suitable napping environment. Please ensure appropriate window coverings are installed to provide an atmosphere for sleep.

      • 1) Child safety locks were observed to be missing on drawers and cupboards throughout the facility.Please ensure child safety locks are installed to eliminate potential hazards.2) Protective covers were observed to be missing on receptacles throughout the facility.Please ensure receptacles are tamper proof or install protective covers.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Protective cushions were missing around concrete pillars located in rooms 1, 2, and 3.Please install a form of protective cushion around the pillars located in the preschool rooms.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Some play equipment exceeds 50 cm in height and includes slides that are inadequately secured. Please remove these items, as there is no appropriate fall surfacing in place to ensure children's safety.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The water temperature of the handwash sinks located in the nursery room, and rooms 1, 2, and 3 were tested using a probe thermometer and measured at 56C.Please adjust the water temperature to a maximum of 54C, recommended 49C.

      • Mildew was observed in the gaskets of the laundry machine.Please clean and disinfect the gasket of the laundry machine.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • 1. The infant room is not appropriately set up for infants. It currently contains a couch, rocking chairs, divider boards, and tables. Please remove these items and ensure the room is properly arranged to suit the needs of this age group.2. Nursery room: There are two floating metal shelves mounted on the wall within children's reach. Please ensure these shelves are removed.3. Some of the tall bookshelves are not anchored to the wall. Please ensure all tall furniture is securely anchored to prevent tipping hazards.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. Bleach solution was not available at the diapering stations. Please ensure that bleach solution is readily accessible.2. A chlorine test strip was not available to verify the concentration of the bleach solution. Please ensure a test strip is provided.3. The diapering mat is placed on the counter in the infant room, but the safety belt is not anchored to the counter. Please ensure the safety belt is securely anchored if the counter space is used for diapering.

      • Preschool room 2: The wall is in disrepair. Please repair.

      • Some play equipment exceeds 50 cm in height and includes slides that are inadequately secured. Please remove these items, as there is no appropriate fall surfacing in place to ensure children's safety.

      • Play pens will be used for napping purposes, which is not permitted. Please replace them with approved sleep equipment such as cribs or mats.

      • 1. The daycare will be sharing space with the Church's childcare services, but currently there is no clear distinction between the supplies belonging to each. Please ensure all daycare supplies, including toys, are clearly labeled and stored in appropriate bins when not in use. There should be no crossover of toys or materials between the daycare and the Church.2. Upstairs classrooms: There are no appropriate storage spaces available for children's belongings, such as backpacks and other personal items. Please install cubbies or designate suitable areas to securely store children's personal items.
