      • Require pest control plan for routine monitoring and traps.

    • 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
      • Use office for isolation room. Policy needs to include the following for communicable disease control:1. Increasing disinfectant up to 1000ppm with appropriate test strips.     • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Two change tables have been purchased but both are missing the mats with safety straps. Please ensure the mats are smooth, waterproof and easy to clean.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 2- Wood cubbies have been built and installed in each of the classrooms. The cubbies have treated with a clear coat and this is OK for the flat portions, the edges are rough and need more coats to make them wipeable. Please note that these cubbies will likely need to be refinished with a more durable paint or lacquer once the clear coat becomes damaged.3- There is a gap between the drywall and the top portion of the door frame on the inside of the single-washroom. Please seal this up so the area is cleanable.4- The walls of the single washroom are partially unfinished. Please finish the areas with missing drywall.5- The ceiling tiles need to be reinstalled once the electrical and plumbing inspections have been completed.6- Plywood between toilets is not strongly secure and will likely need replacing.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Cleaning for surfaces and toys required.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Two change tables have been purchased but both are missing the mats with safety straps. Please ensure the mats are smooth, waterproof and easy to clean.

      • 1- Plywood has been used to create dividers between the toilets in the main washroom and 1X6 wood has been used along with wall. Both have been treated with a clear coat but this has not made them smooth enough to be cleanable. These surfaces must be painted or lacquered to ensure they are cleanable.2- Wood cubbies have been built and installed in each of the classrooms. The cubbies have treated with a clear coat and this is OK for the flat portions, the edges are rough and need more coats to make them wipeable.     • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The building has a good supply of water at all fixtures.The temperature at the hand sink back classroom measured at 54C. The maximum allowable temperature is 49C to reduce the risk of burns. Either the hot water tank needs to be turned down or temperature regulators need to be installed at all sinks accessible to the children to keep the water temperature at or below 49C.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • 1- The toilet seats on the child-sized toilets are missing. They have been ordered and should arrive next week. Please have the seats installed before opening.2- The single washroom is missing the paper towel dispenser. Please install the dispenser.
