Inspection summary

London Drugs #004 has been inspected 11 times by Vancouver Coastal Health since September 11, 2015. The most recent inspection, on November 27, 2025, recorded 1 infraction.

6 of 11 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 1 infraction recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Pests and Protecting food from contamination.

The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • PestsHigher risk

Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.

Recorded 3 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on November 27, 2025. For example: The premises is free of conditions that lead to harbouring, breeding and entry of pests.

  • Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk

This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.

Recorded once on January 10, 2024. For example: Food is handled in a sanitary manner and is not subject to contamination.

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded once on January 5, 2022. For example: An operator of a food service establishment must develop, maintain, and follow written procedures to ensure that a health hazard does not occur in the operation of the establishment.

  • Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk

Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.

Recorded once on May 14, 2019. For example: An operator of a food premises must develop, maintain, and follow written procedures to ensure that a health hazard does not occur in the operation of the establishment.

Glen and Solmaz are amazing! Especially Glen! He’s always so cheerful when he picks up the phone or when you meet him in person. And they are so patient and willing to you solve the issues. I really appreciate their service and warmness. So rare💛✨ Thank you!

I had to get my 3-week-old baby first passport photo taken, and Adam was absolutely amazing. He spent nearly an hour with us, not because he was slow, but because he genuinely cared about getting the photo exactly right. He paid attention to every little detail and even used a program to verify that the photo met all the Canadian passport requirements before printing it. Taking a passport photo of a newborn is definitely not easy, but Adam was incredibly patient and tried several techniques to get Ian to look at the camera. He never rushed us and was kind, professional, and reassuring throughout the entire process. I truly appreciate the time and effort he put into making sure everything was perfect. If you need passport photos—especially for a newborn—I highly recommend Adam. Thank you for such outstanding service!

Purchased a 65" LG TV at a great price. Service was very good. Staff assisted with moving the TV in the underground parking (off 8th Ave) and helped loaded the TV in my truck. Great customer service.

My gf and I have been shopping at London Drugs for her ..25 years , for me , about 1/2 that. I wish I could say something sweet here but I can’t. I bought a brand new laptop and spend a thousand dollars there in about 25 seconds. They didn’t have a wrapped model “in the back” so I ended up getting the display model from the floor. I asked the manager if he could knock 10% off and he said he couldn’t… it was already marked down so, sweet guy. Anyways that company needs a staff meeting or myself included, I would inundate them with criteria on why they’re losing money. One guy on the floor was good ( he and I discussed Bob Lazar & propulsion systems that make anti gravity work. This is a story in itself ( over a dozen specialists in that field) have been killed or gone missing , in a very short period of time) sorry back to review ..after I picked my laptop .. he had to go get a key for what looked like a bicycle lock.. and he managed to wrestler it free. My gf was sweet enough to pay for it but that was easier said than done. It took the guy helping us ( don’t want to say his name butter toriate kono mon iko .. he tried , he really did. My gf is recovering from a stroke and can’t stand up for long she was still waiting for the transaction to be approved. Does ANYONE out there remember A &B Sound? I worked at Hastings for years and it was mandatory for everyone to learn the till. What a novel idea! You learn to balance your float help customers and open another till so PEOPLE DON’T HAVE TO WAIT. I know this is long but it needs to be said. It’s Friday afternoon and after no less than 6 calls to the tech department ..I still don’t have my Laptop. One guy said he saw it on the desk he was working on it. Granted I just got him to transfer some files from my old hard drive but ?!?? I don’t know, it’s Friday, and Sergio, who so kindly listened to my plight and tried to be helpful..” he still has to install the antivirus” .. no , actually he doesn’t, not if I come in and ask for a full refund. Thanks to Harry, Sergio & the Japanese fellow who did the transaction. As for Azlim.. I’m going to take a computer pal of mine with me wen I go pick it up

Was checking out some of the Polaroid type cameras and I was trying to see the price and dimensions of the photos they print. One of the associates was kind enough to help me put in his colleague butted it in and told me they had no film and was quite dismissive. I told him I was just interested into knowing what the dimensions of the different types of cameras photos was and he just answered. They're all different. Even though I was already being help he clearly felt the need to assert himself and made me feel like my custom was unwanted.
