Inspection summary
London Drugs #019 has been inspected 6 times by Vancouver Coastal Health since April 25, 2016. The most recent inspection, on June 29, 2026, recorded 3 infractions.
2 of 6 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 3 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Pests, Cleaning and sanitizing and Protecting food from contamination.
Recent inspections have recorded fewer infractions than earlier ones, so the record is improving.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
PestsHigher risk
Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.
Recorded 4 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on June 29, 2026. For example:
The premises is free of pests.
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on August 29, 2018. For example:
The premises and all equipment, utensils and food contact surfaces are maintained in good condition and used in a manner that ensures safe and sanitary food handling.
Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk
This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.
Recorded once on June 29, 2026. For example:
Food is kept in a sanitary manner and is not subject to contamination.
Permits, records and postingLower risk
Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.
Recorded once on November 4, 2021. For example:
An operator of a food service establishment must develop, maintain, and follow written procedures to ensure that a health hazard does not occur in the operation of the establishment.
Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk
Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.
Recorded once on August 29, 2018. For example:
An operator of a food premises must develop, maintain, and follow written procedures to ensure that a health hazard does not occur in the operation of the establishment.

This is how the second time I’ve had a lovely encounter with now a ‘supervisor’ over a pack of gum. I asked someone at the front where the gum was and he looked at me like I was an alien and said we have none. I then went to the candy aisle and asked this lovely supervisor where the gum is. She told me in large packs there or in the checkout aisle. I said your manager said there is none at the checkout aisle .. then proceeded to argue with me over a pack of gum and the store had no manager.i dropped everything I planned to buy and left. I can’t with these people you guys hire. So many kind people are looking for jobs. Hire them. My god.

Jasmin C at the pharmacy department was incredibly competent, calm, kind and professional. I appreciated her patience throughout the pharmaceutical process, and the time she took to explain things in detail to me and my mom. London Drugs is lucky to have her!

I really appreciate the great service from Rachel L. who was working in the cosmetics department yesterday (Aug 18). She was really nice and gave lots of product suggestions! It’s honestly not often that I’d find amazing customer service when shopping around, so I appreciate it when I do encounter employees who take it a step further with their customer service experience. Please let her know that customers recognize and value her helpfulness and friendliness! 10/10 stars for Rachel ⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩

I must share my appreciation for over the top customer service.. Joe and Rachel L!!!!! Thank You both. Great team. I was looking for a glass cleaner product and had been to several different locations with no success before popping into Robson St location. Still not able to see what I was looking for so I went to customer service desk and Voila, Rachel to my rescue. She went on line to see stock availability and found Two stores that had some. She actually called the stores to see if the computer stock was correct and when we were on hold she also told me about a similar product that their store uses for glass cleaner. Then she put them on hold for me. The other location ended up store transferring to the Robson St location for me for convenience. This is when I got to talk to Joe for the first time to congratulate him on his great coworkers. When the items arrived he personally called me , left a message, to advise my delivery was in. When I called back customer service paged him and we spoke again. Now that’s service with a smile. THANK YOU Rachel and Joe Bravo Eliza
