Inspection summary

London Drugs #082 has been inspected 9 times by Vancouver Coastal Health since August 1, 2017. The most recent inspection, on January 16, 2026, recorded 2 infractions.

4 of 9 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 2 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Pests and Food temperature control.

The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • PestsHigher risk

Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.

Recorded 4 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on January 16, 2026. For example: The premises is free of pests.

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on December 19, 2022. For example: Potentially hazardous food is at a refrigerated temperature that keeps it safe to eat.

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.

Recorded once on February 12, 2025. For example: An operator of a food service establishment must develop, maintain, and follow written procedures to ensure that a health hazard does not occur in the operation of the establishment.

I've used this London Drugs for various servies. Pharmacy, the store and photo lab the las ttime. When dealing with the pharmacist, all my questions were answered, I felt conformtable with my medication. I did have a call from a different pharmacy staff that wasn't as positive. I find all the products I want in the store and more fun treasures. I'd prefer to have check outs over the self check out. I visited the photo lab today. My order was filled quickly and it was all correeft. The staff on was a joy to talk with, along with knowledgeable. It's great to have this store in our neighborhood.

I would like to thank Amir at the pharmacy for always being so kind, supportive, patient, and efficient with customers. Recently, my husband was in a rush to pick up my prescription medication after my surgery and get to the hospital. Amir understood the situation and took care of everything within a few minutes. We truly appreciated his help and excellent service.

I had a really uncomfortable experience the last time I visited this place. From the moment I walked in it felt like I was being watched closely by security staff. As I moved through different aisles, a guard seemed to follow me around in a way that didn’t feel subtle or respectful - it felt targeted and unnecessary. I understand that stores need to prevent theft, but there’s a line between maintaining security and making customers feel unwelcome. Being monitored so obviously made it hard to shop normally, and honestly, it left me feeling judged and uneasy. This experience has definitely made me reconsider shopping here again, and I hope the store rethinks how their security approach impacts everyday customers.

I visited the cosmetics department today to buy a fragrance and had a very disappointing experience. I waited for assistance for quite a while, but the employee working there, Michelle (as shown on her name tag), seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. When I asked for help choosing a fragrance, her attitude felt rude and dismissive, and she gave very short responses instead of providing any real assistance. For a department where customers often need guidance, the service was very poor. Because of this experience, I won’t be visiting this store again.
