- 33(1) An operator must ensure that the temperature of food is controlled so that the food does not deteriorate or become inedible or unsafe.
- In accordance with Section 3.3.2 of the Nova Scotia Food Services and Food Retail Code, you must thaw foods appropriately. Potentially hazardous food products must be thawed using an approved method such as; Thawing on the bottom shelf of a refrigeration unit at 4C or lower. Thawing in triple sink compartment under cold potable running water. Product can be placed in a container in sink with cold potable water changed every 40 minutes until product is thawed. Once potentially hazardous food product (meat) is thawed, return the product to the refrigeration unit at 4C or lower. (Product discarded by owner during the time of inspection).
- 82(1) No person shall operate a food establishment, unless exempted by an administrator, without first having obtained a permit from an administrator.
- In accordance with Section 82(1) of the Health Protection Act, you must renew the Food Establishment permit. (Corrected During Inspection)
