      • There was no sanitizer mixed at the time of inspection. This was corrected at the time of inspection. The bleach sanitizer was 100ppm.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The permit posted was valid until August 2025. Please ensure that the valid food handling permit is printed and posted where it is visible to the public.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • As ice scoop at the back area was stored on top of a cardboard box. The staff was advised to ensure ice scoops are properly stored in a clean container.

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • No prepared sanitizer solution was observed at the time of inspection. The operator prepared a 100ppm chlorine/bleach sanitizer solution during inspection, and the concentration verified with the PHI's chlorine test strip. 100ppm chlorine/bleach sanitizer solution can be prepared by adding half teaspoon of unscented bleach to a liter of water.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Chlorine test strips were not observed.Please obtain chlorine test strips.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Access to the handwashing sink in the kitchen was blocked with a waste bin. The operator moved the bin during inspection.Please ensure the handwashing sink is always accessible for proper handwashing.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Pest control records were not observed. Education on the need for pest control was provided and a pest control checklist given to the operator.As discussed, place pest traps around the facility and use the checklist given during inspection to maintain monthly pest control records. If any pest activity is seen at any point, contact a pest control company.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • A valid food handling permit was not displayed at the facility.Ensure your permit is displayed at a conspicuous location in the facility.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • As ice scoop at the front area was stored on top of the sink. The staff was advised to move the scoop to the dishwashing sink for washing and sanitizing and ensure ice scoops are properly stored in a clean container moving forward.
