      • Observation: Garbage bin under the hand sinks in the front service area hadn't been emptied since the last event which was this past Saturday. Flies noted inside the cupboard. Holes noted at the base of the cupboards as well.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure that staff empty all the garbage bins immediately after an event. Seal all the holes.

      • Observation: The hot water tap of the hand sink on the left at the front service area of the concession is leaking.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): There was no sanitizer available for use e.g. bleach and water solution
      • Corrective Action(s): Always have a food grade sanitizer available for sanitizing surfaces and for washing equipment. Equipment/tools must be washed, rinsed and sanitized in a sanitizer solution prior to air drying.

    • 101 - Plans/construction/alterations not in accordance with the Regulation [s. 3; s. 4]
      • Observation: 1) Concession kitchen has been renovated without Fraser Health Approval. A dishwasher has been installed along with a 2-compartment commercial sink in the back kitchen area. A display cooler has been added to the front.
      • 2) The staff room has been converted to a kitchen for future food prep and cleaning purposes. This space has equipment in it already but isn't in use at the moment.
      • 3) There's no hand soap or paper towel dispensers at the 2-compartment sink in the kitchen concession.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1) Cease any further changes to the concession kitchen. You cannot make changes to the kitchen without obtaining Fraser Health approval first. Your permit is restricted to single use utensils and take out only so reuseable dishes are not permitted for use. Submit revised floor plans for approval.
      • 2) Submit floor plans for the converted staff kitchen that will be used as a prep kitchen in the future.
      • 3) Install soap and paper towel dispensers at the back 2-compartment sink in the concession kitchen.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Both steamer wands of the espresso machine were being soaked in small cups of water. The water in the first cup as well as the wand were slimy!
      • Corrective Action(s): As discussed, remove the parts and wash them separately using bleach/water solution to sanitize them in the end. DO NOT leave wands soaking in water especially when the concession isn't in operation daily.

    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: Ice scoop is being stored directly on the counter.
      • Corrective Action(s): As discussed, always store the ice scoop in a clean, washable container.
