Inspection summary

Max Klein has been inspected 2 times by Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health) since August 19, 2026. The most recent inspection, on August 20, 2026, recorded 3 infractions.

None of the 2 inspections on record were free of infractions. In the past 12 months there were 2 inspections with 6 infractions recorded. All recorded findings relate to upkeep, equipment or paperwork rather than direct infection-control risks to clients.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their findings differently, so we group them by what they mean for clients. In personal service settings like salons, spas and tattoo studios, higher-risk findings are the ones that could spread infection from one client to the next, through broken skin, blood or instruments that were not properly cleaned and sterilized.

  • Food safety training and certificationLower risk

Some jurisdictions require operators to complete infection-prevention training, or to hold specific qualifications for higher-risk services such as tattooing, piercing or electrolysis. These findings mean the training record was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean a client was put at risk.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on August 20, 2026. For example: Has the operator notified the RHA of the existence of a personal service business, including contact and location information, as well as all personal services currently offered or new personal services that will be offered for facilities and/or special events?

  • Permits, records and postingLower risk

Operating permits, client records, sterilization logs and required signage. Client records matter because they let health officials contact people if an infection is linked to the business.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on August 20, 2026. For example: Are personal services workers at the facility maintaining client records and where applicable, sterility documentation corresponding to that client?

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on August 20, 2026. For example: Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
