      • 1. Chlorine sanitizer registered at 200 ppm, which is considered too concentrated and can leave chemical residues on surfaces, equipment, and utensils that may lead to cross-contamination. The sanitizer solution was diluted at the time of inspection and registered at 100 ppm. 2. Cloths were not fully immersed in sanitizer solution while being stored in buckets, and therefore were not adequately disinfected during periods of inactivity. This was resolved during the inspection.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Weatherstripping on the receiving door was in poor condition and allowed light to infiltrate. This increases the risk of pests entering the facility. Corrective action: Weatherstripping must be repaired or replaced.

      • - At the time of inspection, the food handling permit was not in a conspicuous place. The onsite shift manager was alerted, and the permit was moved to a more appropriate place, so it could be easily viewed by patrons.

      • Observed missing tiles in laundry area. Informed operator to replace or fix area with missing tiles. Walls and ceilings in food facility should be kept in good repair. Also observed bottom of wall area in disrepair with water stains and holes in floor joint. Operator said that they need corporate office approval before repairs can be done.Walls and ceilings in food facility should be kept in good repair.

      • Observed standing water and mold in back storage area. Also observed bottom of wall area in disrepair with water stains and holes in floor joint with accumulation of organic-like debris. Based on mold we saw in the same area, it is possible that mold is also growing in the wall and floor openings.Informed operator to investigate if the water reservoir is leaking. All floors should be durable, impervious and easily cleanable. It is important to keep floors dry to prevent the growth of mold.
