    4 infractions

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Multiple personal belongings, including water bottles and a cell phone, were observed stored on counters throughout the food facility. The operators removed all personal items during the inspection. Please ensure all personal belongings are stored in a separate area away from the food handling environment. Handling personal items during food service without washing hands afterward can contaminate hands and increase the risk of transferring pathogens to food, food contact surfaces, or the food preparation environment. Ideally, personal belongings should be stored in the staff break room or another designated area, and staff should wash their hands after handling them.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Multiple handwashing sinks were observed containing dirty utensils and were not being used solely for handwashing. The operators removed all items from the handwashing sinks during the inspection. Please ensure all handwashing sinks are used exclusively for handwashing. Storing utensils or other items in handwashing sinks reduces their availability when handwashing is required and may discourage proper handwashing practices.---Following the correction, all handwashing sinks throughout the facility provided warm running water, drained effectively, and were adequately stocked with soap and paper towels.
    • 18. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this food facility (Non-Critical)?
      • A UV insect trap was observed operating on top of the hood above a stove. The operator removed the UV insect trap during the inspection. Please ensure all pest control equipment is installed and stored in a manner that does not pose a risk of contaminating food handling areas. Pest control equipment should be located away from food preparation and food contact areas where there is no potential for accidental contamination.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • -1. One cutting board in use was observed to have deep grooves and significant damage that would prevent effective cleaning and sanitizing between uses. The cutting board was removed from service during the inspection for repair or replacement. Please ensure all equipment is regularly monitored and removed from service or replaced when it becomes damaged to the point that it can no longer be effectively cleaned and sanitized or could present a risk to customers through its continued use.---2. An ice cream scoop was observed stored in stagnant water in the dipper well. The operator turned on the water, ensuring a continuous flow of cool water through the dipper well during the inspection. Please ensure all ice cream scoops are stored under cool running water when not in use to help prevent bacterial growth and ensure they remain safe for use.
