Inspection summary
NEXT - Kitchen has been inspected 2 times by Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health) since January 8, 2025. The most recent inspection, on August 5, 2026, recorded 2 infractions.
1 of 2 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 2 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded once on August 5, 2026. For example:
Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
Food safety training and certificationLower risk
Most jurisdictions require a certified food handler or manager on site, and some require allergen or food-worker training. These findings mean the paperwork or the trained person was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean food was handled unsafely.
Recorded once on August 5, 2026. For example:
Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?

- 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
- A chlorine-based sanitizer solution was observed to be at a concentration of zero ppm at the time of inspection. An improperly prepared sanitizer solution may not effectively reduce microbial contamination on surfaces and equipment.Discard and replace the sanitizer solution. Prepare the sanitizer according to the manufacturer's instructions to achieve the appropriate concentration for effective disinfection. Verify the concentration using appropriate test strips and ensure staff are trained on the proper preparation and monitoring of sanitizer solutions.
- 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
- During the inspection, it was noted that hairbrushes were being stored inside a freezer located in the kitchen. Storing personal grooming items in food storage equipment is not an appropriate practice and may create a risk of cross-contamination.Remove all hairbrushes and any other non-food items from the freezer immediately. Thoroughly clean and sanitize the freezer to ensure it is maintained in a sanitary condition and used only for its intended purpose. Implement procedures to ensure personal care items are stored separately from food preparation and storage areas.
