      • No chlorine test strips were observed during the inspection. Chemical test strips are required to ensure that sanitizing solutions are at an adequate chemical concentration for effective sanitizing. Ensure that chlorine test strips are available.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The microwave in the food prep area was observed to have food debris build up. All surfaces that come into contact with food are required to be cleaned and sanitized after use to prevent microbial growth. Please ensure the microwave is cleaned and sanitized.

      • There was no chlorine detected int he sanitizer spray bottle. A sanitizer is required to reduce the amount of microbes on food contact surfaces. Ensure there is always a 100 ppm chlorine solution available in the kitchen.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • There are scoops left in the food storage containers. Leaving the scoop in the food container can lead to direct hand contact with the food and also indicates that the scoop is not being washed and sanitized on a regular basis. Ensure the scoops are washed and sanitized and stored outside of the food storage containers.
