      • Childproof lock is present for the chemical storage area under the sink in the hallway where the bleach concentrate is stored.At the time of inspection, the childproof lock was not done up properly to prevent child access. This was corrected immediately and is not an outstanding concern.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Philodendron tree is located in the playschool room on top of a microwave. Philodendron plants are listed as toxic on non-toxic and toxic plant list for Alberta. Any plants listed as toxic should be removed or placed in an area that is out of reach of children.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • First aid kits have expired supplies:1. Main first aid kit - contains 2 types of antiseptic wipes (EXP: 2009 & 2019) 2. Small first aid kit - (EXP: 2009 & 2019) Please ensure first aid kits are stocked with new supplies to ensure that supplies are readily available for emergency response and treatment.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • There are no chlorine or QUATS test strips to verify sanitizer solution concentration. Please ensure that appropriate test strips are stored & available for convenient use, sanitizer solutions are being made at the correct concentration and that solutions are made fresh daily.
