- AS I BEGAN MY INSPECTION AND WENT TO WASH MY HANDS, THE OWNER INFORMED ME THAT THE PIPE UNDERNEATH HIS EXPOSED HANDSINK WAS BROKEN AT THE ELBOW FROM AN ACCIDENT LAST EVENING BEFORE CLOSING. INSTRUCTED THAT PIPE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED BEFORE OPENING THIS MORNING. OWNER LEFT PREMISES TO BUY AN ELBOW TO ATTACH TO THE SINK. SPOKE WITH AREA SUPERVISOR. WASHROOM IS ABOUT 50 FEET FROM THE PREP AREA. INSTRUCTED TO USE WASHROOM TO WASH HANDS UNTIL SINK IS REPAIRED.

Remove the cardboard and rust from the walk-in cooler shelving. Reseal or replace the unsanitary shelving.
