      • There was no bleach present on site for sanitizing.Prior to any public events, ensure there is regular unscented household bleach available for sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and dishes.
    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • Dishwasher was not working during inspection. It appeared to be filling but would not operate.Ensure the dishwasher is functional and capable of reaching a plate level temperature of at least 71C.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Chlorine test strips were not available.Obtain current test strips. Chlorine test strips must be capable of reading 100-200 ppm.Test strips must be used to verify sanitizer concentration each time a solution is prepared.If solution is used more than one day, it must be tested each day prior to use.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Paper towel for the hand sink was not present in the dispenser.Ensure the paper towel is in the dispenser.
    • 14. Does the facility have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • Facility has a cistern as a water source.The last bacteriological water sample was taken in September 2024.Permit requires quarterly water samples.Submit a bacteriological water sample. Sample bottle and requisition form left onsite during inspection.Ensure bacteriological water samples are submitted on a quarterly basis.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Pest control inspection reports are not available.Pest monitoring devices and traps are present in the facility.Ensure a pest control inspection is completed at least once per month and results documented. Records must be available for inspection.Pest control self checklist sent via email.

      • There were two unlabeled spray bottles with an unknown liquid in them.Ensure all spray bottles are labeled to indicate contents.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Ventilation system was last serviced in 2020.Have the ventilation system serviced to ensure it is functional and safe.
