      • Ensure cleaning is completed in back preparation area.
    • 8(2) A permit or notification receipt must be posted in a conspicuous location in the food establishment.
      • Ensure permit is posted in a visible location.
    • 9(1) No employer or manager shall permit any ashtrays in any place at any time when smoking is prohibited in that place by this Act.
      • Ensure ashtrays/cigarette butts are stored outside.

    • 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following: (e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
      • Observed front door being left opened with no screen door present. Front door was closed at this time. Front door must stayed closed if there is no screen door provided. This will prevent the entry of pests.
    • 29(2)(a) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (a) the food establishment and equipment are maintained, cleaned and sanitized;
      • Observed prep fridge cutting board not being maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Refinish/replace cutting board.

      • Observed some food debris and debris on the floor under the prep table, behind the cooking equipment and prep fridges. Clean floors. Observed 2 mats with carpet like material in front of two prep fridges. Items in the kitchen must be made of materials that are smooth and easy to clean. Remove mats.
    • 82(1) No person shall operate a food establishment, unless exempted by an administrator, without first having obtained a permit from an administrator.
      • Observed permit to be expired. Renew permit.
