- 12. Are personal services workers at the facility maintaining client records and where applicable, sterility documentation corresponding to that client?
- The sterility assurance tabs are not being kept with the client records. Please either attach these tabs to the client record or record in the client record all of the information contained on the tab.
- 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
- There is no sharps bin in the facility. The operator is using retractable needle cartridges, so the needle does not stick out of the cartridge once removed from the tattoo machine. This is then wrapped up in the middle of the bib with the other disposable items and thrown in the garbage. While the risk is lowered with this type of cartridge, it is still considered a "sharp" and will need to be discarded in an appropriate sharps bin. Please obtain a sharps bin and dispose of sharps in it.
