- 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
- Wall surfaces in the washroom used by daycare children were not maintained in good repair. Chipped and peeling paint, damaged wall finishes, and exposed underlying wall material were observed in several areas, including adjacent to the sink/countertop, beneath the mirror, along the back edge of the countertop, and behind the garbage container. These damaged surfaces are difficult to adequately clean and maintain in a sanitary condition and may allow moisture to penetrate behind the finish.Please repair all damaged wall surfaces. Remove any loose or flaking material and refinish the affected areas with a smooth, durable, washable and moisture-resistant finish that can be readily cleaned and maintained. Ensure the wall-to-countertop junction is properly sealed to prevent moisture penetration.

- A hole was observed in the washroom wall behind the garbage container. The rough, exposed opening cannot be adequately cleaned and may permit the accumulation of dirt or provide access or harborage for pests.Please patch the hole on the wall and refinish the area to provide a smooth, durable and readily cleanable surface.
