      • The paper towel dispenser was empty of paper towels. The Director immediately asked one of her team members to stock the dispenser.

      • - The toilet tank in the toddler room is missing the cover of the water tank for flushing. The director mentioned that they ordered new one but it didn't arrive yet. The water tank is covered by a cardboard.- The sinks are missing a drain cover in the toddler room, and kinder room.

      • Turtle room: Hand sink was plugged, with water not able to drain. Children were observed washing their hands with sink filling with water. Repair sink to be fully operational at all times.

      • Jelly Fish Room:Diapering mat was noted on top of other play equipment in A side (older side).Discussed with staff to ensure that diapering is completed near handwashing sink and diapering mat is stored out of reach of children.Staff indicated they have a system to ensure children and staff can wash hands.

      • Door to cupboard was noted to be attached but screw was sticking out.Owner indicated will be repaired.

      • Insufficient water temperature throughout the daycare: water temperature was between 11.2C and 22.8C.April 2025Temperate water temperatures were noted throughout the childcare rooms.Please ensure that the temperature of the water is monitored. Temperature at automatic sinks should be between high 20C - low 40s for proper handwashing.

      • One of the sinks in Turtle washroom was slow draining, and the water temperature was only 23.6C (cold). The sink in Jelly Fish washroom and one of the sinks in Star Fish washroom were not operational.       • 1. All chlorine bleach spray bottles were not labelled. Ensure that all chemicals have appropriate labels.2. Lysol disinfectant was kept within children's reach in the sink cabinet in Penguin B room. It was removed during the inspection. Ensure that chemicals are kept out of reach of children.3. A blue solution (unknown) was kept in bleach disinfectant spray bottle and used as a disinfectant in Dolphin room with a 2-compartment sink. Discontinue use of unknown solution and provide proper disinfecting solution.

      • Paint was peeling/chipped in Jelly Fish, Turtle, Penguin B rooms and Dolphin room sink shelf.
