    • 104 - Permit not posted in a conspicuous location [s. 8(7)]
      • Observation: Pemit was not posted at the conspicous location. Operator told that they havent recieved the permit
      • Corrective Action: Operator to reach out to Northern Health and request a copy of health permit and post the permit in a conspicuous location.
    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: Cookies were stored uncovered inside the deep chest freezer along with bacon. Public Health Significance: Storing bacon with uncovered cookies can lead to cross-contamination, potentially causing illness if the contaminated cookies are consumed.
      • Corrective Action: The operator must ensure that cookies are stored separately or covered to avoid contamination.
    • 315 - Refrigeration units and hot holding equipment lack accurate thermometers [s. 19(2)]
      • Observation: Several fridges and freezers lacked thermometers. Public health significance: Installing thermometers in cold storage units allows operators to monitor temperatures and take necessary actions if the units malfunction.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to ensure all the fridges and freezers are equipped with working thermometers.
    • 401 - Critical Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
      • Observation: Staff was observed not using the approved handwashing sink for washing hands. During the inspection, an employee mentioned that they use the wash sink of the three-compartment dishwashing sink for handwashing. Public Health Significance: Washing hands in the three-compartment sink can lead to cross-contamination from utensils placed inside it.
      • Corrective Action: Ensure the hand wash station is accessible at all times and used only as a hand wash station whenever food is being prepared. Soap and paper towel in dispensers and hot and cold running water must be provided to facilitate proper hand washing.
