- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- 1) Existing fly devices hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen facility are to be discouraged since the adhesive may dry up over time and result in dead flies falling off and onto food contact surfaces.2) Reach out to a pest control operator to inquire about proper fly light control devices which are meant for kitchen facilities. As an example only, the "Vector" fly light control device is sold through Orkin/PCO and would be approved for kitchen facilities.
