      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Brushes used for cleaning of the containers were not in good condition and there was risk of bristles causing physical contamination risk.
      • Cardboard used as an liner under the machine, this is not a suitable surface as it does not meet the conditions of easy to clean, durable, impervious to moisture, and non toxic. The cardboard can pose a risk of cross contamination and pathogen growth.
      • Corrected During inspection: Staff were instructed to immediately remove and discard these brushes. The operator had completed this.
      • Operator to remove the cardboard and replace with liner that meets the conditions stated above.

      • Observation: Internally placed thermometer was broken/not in working order in the walk in cooler. The thermometer was reading the incorrect temperature. EHO thermometer measured at 2 deg C for the walk in cooler.
      • Corrective Action(s): Replace the thermometer with a working thermometer.
