- Observation(s): F2.5B(1): Some sections of plastic liner material affixed to the shelves in the walk-in cooler are unclean. Nearby plywood shelves are untreated, stained, and splintering. Corrective Action: Clean and sanitize the plastic material. If this is ineffective, remove the material and ensure the shelf underneath is painted or sealed so it is smooth, washable, and non-absorbent. Paint or seal the plywood shelves so they meet these criteria. Advise the health officer beforehand if alternate material or replacement shelves are considered. F2.5B(2): Ice is present on the floor inside the walk-in freezer. Employee safety issue. Corrective Action: Adjust or service the freezer so ice does not form and pose a slip hazard.
