    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Manual water test results by Public Health Inspector for Total Alkalinity (at beginning of inspection):- Test 1: 37 mg/L- Test 2: 46 mg/L- Test 3: 53 mg/LActions:- Pool operator arrived near the end of inspection and was notified about low total alkalinity.- Total alkalinity was tested again at the end of the inspection and was measured at 60 mg/L.- Told Operator, Manager, and Assistant Manager that Total Alkalinity should be maintained in between 60 - 180 mg/L.- Recommended that they try to maintain total alkalinity a little bit higher to provide room for flexibility.

    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • Facility is using a new digital record keeping system. Not all required record keeping documentation is being maintained. Operating records must be maintained to provide information regarding:a) time of and observations and readings for pH, and the free, total and combined chlorine residual;b) time and results of total alkalinity tests;c) automated controller set points and readings for ORP, chlorine and pH; d) temperature of the public swimming pool water;e) clarity of the water;f) results of microbiological analyses as provided by the regional health authority;g) any other water quality tests;h) quantities and dates of all chemicals used;i) equipment maintenance, including pump modifications which potentially affect flow rate;j) ambient air temperature in a dry sauna or steam saunak) make and model, purchase and expiry date of suction outlet covers, and manufacturers’ recommended flow rate;l) incident records with respect to patron injury; and m) contamination events including the date of the event and the response.Manual tests5.2.1 The free chlorine, combined chlorine and pH must be tested manually at least once per day:5.2.2 The automated readings and associated setpoints shall be monitored and recorded at least once per day.

    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • *Observed that multiple walls and area nearest the slide to have flaking/ splitting paint/ wall material. Areas included but not limited to but is the larger area is behind the duct work where the ceiling height increases. -Have the walls repaired so that the surface is in good repair and impervious to moisture. *Observed that the steel I beam next to the slide has decent amount of rust and flaking paint and separated wall material. Manager informed that this is already being looked into the steel I beam. -Please provide a copy of the report for the assessment of the steel I beam and have the flaking paint and separated wall material addressed.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • -site is manually testing more than the required once per day and are testing/ recording typically at least 3 times a day.*Observed that site is not re-testing pool chemistry after corrections are being made or noting of corrections/ action when basins are over company's or regulatory requirements for both basins for the pH. -Have and ensure that staff are following at least the regulatory requirements for the basins' chemical parameters, and that they are documenting corrective actions and re-testing if needed.
