      • Operator was not following manufacturer's instruction. Manicure and pedicure tools were not rinsed after 20 minutes in the PREempt CS20 (high-level disinfectant). Follow manufacturer instructions.

      • PREempt CS20 was used for more than one day. PREempt CS20 was not tested to ensure it still maintain disinfection level. The test strip bottle was not opened. Please check and record the PREempt CS20 test results daily.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • Manicure and pedicure tools were being processing in a hair washing sink with a flex hose tap. A chair was placed in front of the sink, also it also used to wash hair Update the sink for processing the manicure and pedicure tools.

      • 1) A used rusted pedicure razor blade was drying with the manicure and pedicure tools by the processing sink. Blades are single use items.Throw the razor blade during inspection.2) Used nails and toe separators were found at manicure stations.Discard single-use items after use.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • Nail bits were found with nail clippers, nippers and pushers at the manicure station.Store these tools in a container with a lid to protect them from getting dirty.

Ensure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.2 Oils and debris were in the foot tub water and white stains noted along the side in a mobile unit. Staff stated that they will clean the tub later.Clean and disinfect the foot tub after use.

      • Operator using Preempt concentrate for cleaning and disinfection of reusable tools. Thus, tools not adequately cleaned and disinfected.*Ensure appropriate disinfectant product is available on site to disinfect reusable tools.

      • No puncture-resistant container available for the disposal of sharps.Provide a puncture resistant container.

      • Wax container was covered with wax on the exterior. Clean the wax container.
