      • Linens for bedding observed to be stored on bed and beds are stacked. Bedding should be stored in a manner to protect from cross contamination. Bedding should not touch other client's bedding. Operators moved bedding during the inspection.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Unapproved glue sticks observed in various rooms. Discussed that when buying glue sticks and other arts/craft supplies to look for products with the approved product seal. PHI will send a guidance document that discusses what to look for when buying arts & crafts for children. 2. Homemade playdough is made with non heat-treated/raw flour. This has been found to be potentially hazardous to children due to pathogenic bacteria surviving in low-moisture foods like raw flour for long periods of time. Do not make homemade playdough with raw flour or borax. 3. Dirt was being used in the sensory play table. Recommend using soil with no additives. You can check the packaging for information about chemicals or fertilizer. If the dirt becomes wet, change daily.
