    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. Observed diapering procedures in the rabbit room. The staff member did not change out their gloves after changing out the soiled diaper. The staff member was also observed touching the surface of the bathroom door with the dirty gloves.-Education and review of diapering procedures was conducted on site. Please ensure a fresh pair of gloves are used after the diaper is changed. Please also ensure hand sanitizer is used.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The surface around the handwashing sink basin is water damaged and starting to lift for the following bathrooms: raccoon room, fox room, and squirrel room.- Please repair and refinish the bathroom sink surface.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • 1. The first aid kit is missing a CPR mask.- Please go through the first aid kit contents and ensure the kit is stocked.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Fox room: The microwave had food debris. It was cleaned during inspection.2. Rabbit room: The microwave had grease marks on the handle. It was wiped during the inspection.3. Rabbit room: The container where clean plates and utensils are stored had build-up of debris. It was cleaned during inspection.Please ensure these items are cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis. Recommendation to have these items on the daily cleaning checklist.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • 1.Owl room: The diapering mat was being stored outside of the bathroom. Staff stated children kept pulling the mat down.- Please consider installing a hook for the mat so it can be stored in a sanitary manner.

      • 1. Borax was found stored in the basement storage area. It was discarded during inspection.- Boric acid can no longer be used for making crafts.
