      • Observation: Observed bowls used to scoop out flour from flour bags, stored inside the flour bag. (Public health significance) - Bowls are not meant to be used as scoops for flour, as they can cross-contaminate the flour if bare hands are used to handle them. Consumption of such contaminated food items may result in food-borne illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to ensure that the bowl is removed from the flour bag and replaced with scoops with handles.
    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: Observed boxes containing food items being stored on the floor of the walk-in freezer. (Public Health Significance) - Boxes containing food items if stored on the floor can be subjected to various contaminants as well as pests. Consumption of contaminated food items may lead to food-borne illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to ensure that boxes containing food items in the walk-in freezer are stored at least 15 cms off the floor.
