- 1) The dual-purpose sink was being disinfected with bleach.Bleach is not an approved disinfectant. Provide a low-level disinfectant for the sink. Ensure it has a DIN (drug identification number) and the word "disinfectant" labeled on the bottle.2) CS20 disinfectant was being combined with water. The minimum contact time was not being followed as per manufacturer's instruction. Do not dilute the disinfectant. Reusable equipment must be submerged in CS20 for minimum 20 minutes. Re-disinfect reusable equipment following manufacturer's instructions.
