- 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Cutting board in the preparation cooler is discolored with knife marks The fan was dusty. (Public Health Significance) - Rough food contact surfaces cannot be easily cleaned, which can harbor bacteria and contribute to the formation of bacterial biofilm. Dusty fan can disperse dust in food preparation area and contaminate foods.
- Corrective Action: The operator immediately stopped using the cutting board and change to another new cutting boards. Operator immediately cleaned the fan. Operator to repair or replace worn out equipment to ensure all food contact surfaces are smooth, non-porous, and easily cleanable.
- 311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Cover was missing in one of the fluorescent light. (Public Health Significance) - Fluorescent light may break and become shattered. Light cover can protect foods from being contaminated when the light is shattered.
- Corrective Action: The operator immediately installed the missing light cover.
