- First cited July 16, 2022:- Deep frying of foods is not allowed unless a fume hood with fire suppression is installed. Please discontinue deep frying.- Evidence this is still occurring, this must cease immediately. April 6, 2023 - Update:- Operator is doing bacon, eggs and hash browns on the electric grill which does not have fire suppression.November 30, 2023: 1) Fire inspector confirmed several deficiencies, including:a. There is inadequate ventilation over the deep fryer and grill as required by the Alberta Building (6.2.2.7 Commercial Cooking Equipment) and Alberta Fire Code (Division B 2.6.)- The current ventilation over the deep fryer is not commercial grade and there are open electrical connections. - There is no ventilation over the grill.Corrective action: Install the proper commercial ventilation systems to continue cooking items as per your menu.b. There is no commercial ventilation installed and therefore no fire suppression system is present over the grilling and deep fryer appliances. If a commercial ventilation system is installed, then a fire suppression system must be installed with the hood.c.
