      • Corrective Action(s): Clean, sweep and sanitize any areas noted with mouse droppings. Operator has hired a pest control company that comes in once a month. If situation does not improve, operator increase pest company visit to twice a month.

      • Observation: Boxes of food and products still noted on the floor in the walk-in freezer. Items are not organized and appeared to be thrown into the walk-in freezer with no organization. Unable to get inside walk-in freezer due to the amount of boxes blocking the entrance. Picture evidence collected.
      • As per staff, shelvings have been ordered for the walk-in freezer.
      • Corrective Action(s): Reorganize the walk-in freezer to remove all food products off the floor. Food products must be stored at least 6 inches off the floor to facilitate effective cleaning.

      • Corrective Action(s): Remove the flaking paints on the wall and ceiling of the walk-in cooler to prevent potential contamination of food stored in the unit. This also helps facilitate proper cleaning and sanitation as all surfaces in a facility must be smooth and easily cleanable.

If mouse droppings reappear, the operator should contact a pest control company to assist with the mouse issue.
