      • Surface sanitizer in buck was tested and showed 0ppm. Staff noted that it needed to be changed. Bucket of sanitizer replaced at time of inspection to proper concentration chlorine.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • A diapered toddler and child were observed within the food preparation area. Children, especially diapered children must not be allowed in the food preparation area of a commercial food establishment. This activity poses a contamination risk to the foods being prepared, and a safety hazard to the children.*** IMMEDIATELY restrict access to the concession to STAFF ONLY. ***
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • There is only 1 hand sink within the concession area. It is located in an area that is deemed a food storage area. Due to amount of stuff in the concession area, a narrow point restricts easy and direct access to the hand sink. Hand sinks are required within the food handling area to facility frequent handwashing.*** IMMEDIATELY, remove the shelving unit at the end of the centre island to create a direct path to the hand sink from the grill. ****** Work with the arena owner to install a hand-washing station within the food handling area (adjacent to where foods, especially burgers) is taking place. ***

      • There is an excess of clutter and items that are not used in the daily operations of the facility. *** Please remove all unnecessary items not used in the daily operations of the facility and organize the back storage area to ensure the facility if easy to clean and that items and areas are easily accessed. ***

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • The chlorine sanitizer concentration was tested at 50 PPM at the time of the inspection. The operator then re-made the solution to contain 100 PPM of chlorine.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Money was found stored in the freezer unit of the top freezer refrigerator at the time of the inspection.Please ensure all items unrelated to food handling are stored separately from the food.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • A bucket of grease was observed beneath the hand sink.Please ensure grease is disposed of and all areas of the kitchen are maintained in a sanitary manner.
